Competition can be defined as a rivalry between two or more parties that compete for an end goal.

There is always one side that loses, and one side that gains.

Competitive people absolutely hate to lose, to the point where they could resent the opponents they are competing with.

Imagine someone is successful, without anyone to compete with because they are already so high.

To think that they would stay there for a long period of time is a thought that cannot be avoided.

However, there could be someone who could overthrow such a king.

It would be the king himself.

Remember, success isn’t the end goal, it is only part of the journey itself.

Achieving success can be taxing, but doing everything in pursuit of it cannot be called success anymore.

It becomes more like an obsession.

Living fast, and being so encapsulated by your goals that you are completely unaware of what is going on around you.

The tunnel vision makes you cold, selfish, and ignorant towards your environment, and this blindness can make you trip, fall, and destroy the foreground you fought hard to create.

Yet it cannot be denied that chasing something gives a euphoric and ecstatic feeling.

It can make you feel like you can do anything, and that no one will ever be able to stop you.

You can become so focused on your time and goals, to the point that you become cold, almost like a villain the way you operate.

And once you've reached the top, you might notice that there's no one beside you.

Your opponents have all lost, and your friends and family aren’t there to celebrate.

The balance between time and your pursuit of goals leads to stress.

You're unable to relax because if you relax your competition could be training.

It is almost psychotic and abnormal the way this habit has developed.

Nothing is enough, you’re pacing, chasing, you know you’re never going to change, this is just the way you were born.

So why reach for success anyway?

Discontentment? Jealousy? Envy? Or maybe acceptance?

Life is short, but there is no need to rush.

We may be individuals who live in this world, but there are people who truly care for us.

There are some things that you can only see when your feet are grounded.
