A curious looking cloud forever suspended atop of a lonely tree.
"Sa Aking Pag-Alis" (On My Departure) is all about forward movement and the realization that moving on takes more than guts and soul for one to be able to pull it off. The work also serves as a reminder that it is not at all bad to take time to breath, to stop, or to even fail, because all of these things are part of the proverbial process of finding one's purpose. Ultimately, it explores the possibility that maybe, the only way to depart from the past, and to learn from it, is not to totally abandon it but rather, to collide with it head on.
First published in a zine form in 2017, all of the photos in this series are taken with a film camera.
