Daliesque Eye is an allusion to our inner eye. The eye that awakens when we sleep. As an artist, I enjoy looking through my Daliesque eye, especially when I'm awake, to see a more fun, distorted reality. Perhaps all reality is distorted. Perhaps reality reflects our imagination and anticipations. We perceive what our mind is prepared to comprehend.
In Salvador Dali's own words: “One day it will have to be officially admitted that what we have christened reality is an even greater illusion than the world of dreams.”
Us humans try to make sense of the universe in logical terms, but the universe is always a step ahead, so why should art be any different? Art is flow, fluid, and transformative. It is neither good nor bad. It's a glimpse into something more. It helps us see through the veil of the agreed-upon reality. Art is modern witchcraft that stirs our souls and bewilders spectators. And perhaps we all have a witch and a wizard within us. And a Dali, or a Don Quixote, an Einstein, a Buddha, a dragon, not to defeat but to ride and be unstoppable together.
