Aeliana was the daughter of the Fae Zergara and Orestes, a mortal man who had died before the birth of his daughter. She grew up with grandparents and was visited occasionally by her mother. The visits had to take place in secret. Humans had many misconceptions regarding the Fae and other magical creatures.

When she was a young lady, she was married to an Overlord named Ivok. In theory, she was a free woman, but the truth was that she was living a miserable life. Her husband, blinded by the greed of his increasing wealth, was becoming unabashedly selfish and cruel.

She grew tired of the invisible shackles binding her. And so, one night, Aeliana escaped the palace under the guise of a maid and sought counsel with the wild Fae. She told them of her life, the cruelty and greed of her husband, and asked them for their assistance with her plan.

When Ivok and his men left on an expedition, Aeliana put her plan into action. She cast a sleeping spell on the palace guards, and with the Fae's assistance, she grabbed as much gold as they could fit into their carriages and drove towards the burning mountain. People believed that this is where dragons were born, so they named it the Dragon's Lair. There are several myths and legends about this overflowing, thick liquid that scorches anything in its touch.

Aeliana and the Fae climbed the steep mountain with the help of their beloved wind Aeras and tossed the gold inside the burning magma. 'Freedom; My only desire,' she whispered and threw herself in before the Fae had a chance to save her.

Suddenly the melting gold began taking form. From it, two blazing, horned creatures emerged and grabbed Aeliana's falling body in midair. They carried her graciously back into safety. They healed and nurtured her. And this is how the story of Aeliana, the daughter of the fire, had begun. Freer and more brilliant than ever, Aeliana and the twin creatures roamed the lands, guiding trapped souls back into freedom.
