Azure is the High Priestess of the Twilight Realm Selasir. Her kinsfolk are appointed guardians of both the natural and the mystical world. Every one of them has a specific task. Azure sees into many pasts and presents. She is the one that guides children out of their nightmares and back into the light.

A nightmare is what children experience when the Dzegais lure their innocent souls into a dark web that they can never return from so that the Dzegais themselves can inhabit the children’s young bodies.

Everyone is so enamored with Azure, the most beloved of all Selasiers. Because she is the only light that the Dzegais cannot eliminate. She unravels the dark web that they spin around the path and hunts them down until they leave the child’s soul alone. Once the child is free, she quickly bursts into a dazzling light, which is the fastest way to send the children back onto their path.

It is an extremely rare occasion that Azure does not find the child in time and a Dzegais inhabits a child’s body. If you ever wonder how a human can be so atrocious, that's because they are not a human anymore.

We tell our children that it wasn’t real, that it was just a nightmare because that is what we've been told. And so it should remain.
