But I own up to who I am. I don’t throw pity parties. Do I have obsessions? Ha! Who doesn’t? Are they destructive? Apparently. That’s what they tell me.

Not being authentic is also destructive. Always being the “good girl.” Isn’t that destructive? Living life to other people’s standards, being a trophy wife, eww!

You care about what they’ll think of you more than what you think of you. You push yourself to the limit to achieve a level of perfection defined by those who don’t even know your name, let alone care about your existence.

So you follow the rules and you bury your voice and you’re no longer a threat. You’re manageable. I’m not. Ha, maybe that’s bad. Should I be “manageable”? Hmm, let me think about it. I thought about it. Nope! 👎

So pudding, are you a good girl? Or a bad girl?

Maybe I’m confused, lonely, and broken. Maybe I am looking for love in all the wrong places. Oh wait… that’s a pity party! Hahaha, I’m such a hypocrite sometimes!

Tell me about your obsessions. Any dreams? Ambitions? Do you ever turn down the fucking noise, the chatter, and listen to yourself… the real you? I don’t always. There are so many voices I forgot which one is mine.

That’s bad, I know, that’s bad. Oh well. It’s fun up in here, a bit crazy, but fun.

Have you ever been told that your head is in the clouds, that you’re a dreamer? All of my favourite people are dreamers: visionaries, art lovers, writers.. the list of people that are changing the world, pixel by pixel, is unending.

All my characters are unapologetically themselves, they embrace their individuality. I find inspiration in all these people, in my favourite books, in peculiar, witty, talented humans I’ve loved and of course in real life because nothing is wilder than life!

Heads In Clouds (HIC) is dedicated to all dreamers and I’ll be adding more artworks each week. I hope that you embrace your uniqueness, dream outrageously, make mistakes and laugh daily. Allow yourself to evolve, be kind and open-minded. Be whoever you want to be and have fun with it. You’re not here to fit in, you’re here to stand out!
