Once a year, a large group of cattle egrets stop by at the University of Ibadan during their annual migration. For 1 month in the year, these birds flock the trees close to Auba dam, a source of food. I was lucky to have been visiting the university and to witness this rare occurrence.
I have spent the past 2 years traveling Nigeria and documenting stories about our culture, history and landscapes. Throughout my life, African countries have been depicted in a negative manner in the media and I do this to show the world that Africa is lush, rich and diverse. I document these stories on my personal website www.foluoyefeso.com, and the photographs in this collection are favorites from the journey so far. Thank you for being here!
