The New Culture Studio is an auditorium built by the renowned sculpture, artist and architect Demas Nwoko. The theatre is stunning. It rests on elevated land and its copper coloured bricks stick out against the clear sky. It is built into the side of the hill in the most clever manner and this amplifies the space and visual appeal of it. It's in Ibadan and it's one of the must-see buildings in the city.
I have spent the past 2 years traveling Nigeria and documenting stories about our culture, history and landscapes. Throughout my life, African countries have been depicted in a negative manner in the media and I do this to show the world that Africa is lush, rich and diverse.
