"Layers of the Western World" is a culmination of the last six years spent in hiking boots, on trail and in tents- with camera in hand. These 1/1s are the scenes that motivated me to pick up a camera in the first place, when I moved to Washington State in 2015.

Mountain layers have long been one of my favorite subjects- within them lies mystery, and grand adventure. Beauty and possibility. Paths never taken. Each valley has its own rivers, lakes, flora, and fauna. I tend to imagine what each biome must be like. These images remind me that there will always be something to explore, and that inspires me often.
"Layers of the Western World" was shot predominantly in the Cascade Range in the Pacific Northwest, with the remainder being captured in California, Arizona and the European Alps.
