In 2012, at a time in Marcus’ career when he was making his own rules, and had built an impressive portfolio of work and clients, he decided to start a passion project. He wanted to paint a series of large canvas paintings of people that inspired him throughout his life. He was able to complete 14 portraits before he suffered from 8 strokes, leaving his entire right side of his body paralyzed and lost all speech. He would not be able to move around independently until 3 years later in 2015.

From these 14 portraits, Marcus has created 140 unique NFT’s, 10 versions of each, to commemorate the 10 Year Anniversary of the project. Included in Idols Collection are: Betty Davis, Frank Sinatra, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jesus Christ, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, John F. Kennedy, Linda Ronstadt, Liza Minnelli, Mick Jagger, Pamela Anderson, Pablo Picasso, Prince, & Salvatore Dali

Portions of the proceeds of this collection will be donated to the National Kidney Foundation
