This is a hybrid version of Hälts original acrylic painting ‘Are you a Believer?’, a series that documented the rise President Obama in 2009. The series was based mainly on public opinion, including late night radio talks shows, and pop culture. I wrote a message to CBC radio, telling them about working on it in the late night hours while listening to their station. They loved it so much that one of their hosts presented in one of their late-night air waves and spurred a cross-Canada call for ‘what artists created’ while listening to their show.
