Natalie Rusinova is an expressionist artist who draws colorful landscapes depicting emotions and impressions. Colorful landscapes of the sky depict emotions and impressions, endowed with magical properties. This is a series of expressive oil paintings that reinterpret celestial effects. They appear as symbols of feelings, ideas, events. They contain metaphors for the concepts of life and understanding the phenomena in it.

Have you ever noticed that images of sadness often help us heal from negative psychological states? Often the sunny atmosphere of feigned joy tries to aggressively pull us out of the cocoon. On the contrary, images of melancholy exist with us "on the same wavelength." The impulses of our mood and the surrounding background are in mutual understanding.

For example, sad music, rainy weather, twilight. Such images primarily bring comfort and sympathy for the soul, and then - calmness and balance. We are gradually gaining solid ground under our feet. And there comes spiritual healing. We begin to feel the brightness of life. I wanted to convey this very idea in my picture. A person walks across a blinding yellow field, but reaches for the clouds gathering over him. At first glance, the clouds seem dark, but in their depths we see the play of fresh and bright colors.

This work was exhibited in the Museum of Wild and Newfangled Art's This Show is Curated by a Machine 🤖, which took place from September 23, 2021 through January 31, 2022.
