Being confident and powerful (or rather acting this way) is quite easy when feeling strong and healthy. However, facing different kinds of diseases, mental issues or even phobias can challenge you harder than anything else. And while some of them are widely accepted in the society as serious medical conditions, others still remain an issue most people are not willing to discuss or at least acknowledge. This project represents both categories, showing the inner emotional state of those fighting with their diseases. They include Alzheimer disease, schizophrenia, depression, phobia and general emotional crises (you can guess or even choose what each painting means, in your opinion).
This project is very personal for me, as my father had one of the diseases represented in my works. I saw how it slowly destroyed him from the inside. I saw him vanishing day by day, leaving only the outlines of the person he was. I know there a lot of such people, those who lose this battle and those who surround them during the fight. This project aims at showing the strength of both sides, at making people more compassionate and understanding. It aims at making people appreciate what they have and support those who are losing it.

This work was exhibited in the Museum of Wild and Newfangled Art's This Show is Curated by a Machine 🤖, which took place from September 23, 2021 through January 31, 2022. The show is curated by an artificial intelligence which learned to curate by looking at artworks from the Museum of Modern Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the 2021 Museum of Wild and Newfangled Art Biennial, and other sources. The show has been added to mowna's collection, which is available for viewing online at https://www.mowna.org.
The winner of this auction will receive a 1/1 limited edition NFT, minted by the museum. 70% of the sale will pay the artist of the NFT for their work, with the remaining 30% paying for the creation of the museum platform. The winner will also unlock a free one month membership code for the museum.
