An iconic image of our time in Llano Quemado, Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico. That's my wife Kathy walking on ahead as usual. A short walk from our rented adobe leads to a lane that goes between a pasture and an apple orchard on the way to a low-water crossing of the Rio Grande del Rancho on the way to the neighborhood of Talpa. The water, grass, and trees provide a welcome counterpoint to rocks and desert. That's Taos Mountain (Pueblo Peak) in the distance. 3000 x 1995, 300 ppi.

New Mexico belongs to God and we just pass on through. As I once wrote, "The thing was though, they'd done it, the entire Taos murder trip, yet both of them were still together, healthy, and the love danced in her eyes." Kathy & I moved from Maryland to Taos County in 1999. The landing was a shock but we gave it all we had. New Mexico is never easy but stupendous. The story's in the photographs & their descriptions.
