Mary of Nazareth, also known as the Virgin Mary, was the mother of Jesus. Historical studies present Mary as a resident of Nazareth, in the north of ancient Palestine.

The greatest and most powerful matriarch of Christian tradition, the Virgin Mary, begat the Son of God, participated in his creation, suffered his loss and had the honor of ascending to heaven without passing through death.
