Inspired by street art, abstract art, and Mondrian, this NFT guarantees the buyer 1/10 of the limited edition "Too Much Drip" hoodies. The first ten buyers of this NFT in the chain of custody will receive a "Too Much Drip" hoodie in the size of their choice.
Inspired by an instagram comment by noted streetwear enthusiast Lael Abaya, this transformative work, is meant as a commentary on streetwear and hype-beast culture. It causes us as the viewer to ask questions about the culture. Why must we seek out every drop? Is it for the swag or to fill some aching emptiness? Is our engagement in the culture, a form of reflective self-expression or instead my tendency towards materialism? It ultimately ponders the existential question, of what happens "when you... drip too hard?"
Robko - San Francisco Bay Area based digital artist whose work is inspired by memes, cryptocurrency, pop arts, and street art. Through digital art, I am focused on showcasing my current obsessions. I'm interested in constantly pushing boundaries through art. I am always asking the question, what is art? As a consequence, I like finding ways to turn mundane and banal things into art.
