The original image for this flip was taken driving through the East end of London in the early hours sometime in 2002 post going to a gig with a couple of close kiwi musician friends in my good friend Nathan Haines' old skool Land Cruiser. Going East meant no underground as it closes and getting home was always a hassle. The cruiser was always so much fun. Thanks, Nath! : An open exposure photograph was taken on the artist's first digital camera, an E5000 Coolpix Nikon - thee artist's equipment of capture whilst living in London and travelling through Europe in the early 2000s.

Trained in film photography Anneke applies traditional photography techniques to digital technologies.

Anneke first started working with Mandala imagery around this time, whilst also regularly turning out physical artworks utilising lenticular technology.

Lenticulars lend themselves directly to NFT compositions in the form of animated flips as well as 3D prints. The animated works in this collection were designed for Lenticular prints in the early 2000s but never publicly exposed - until now as NFT's!

Mandalas are present in many ancient religions; spiritual geometric configurations that aim to represent our relationship to the infinite. Anneke has adapted the kaleidoscopic nature of the Mandala seeking to provoke a translation of the essence of the given subject matter.
