I'm a dad. I don't consider myself a photographer, but I do love to tell stories. This project has never been about trying to capture the perfect photo, or torment my kids by making them pose for a picture. It's about trying to snap moments in the raw as they happen to share my experiences as a father. BUT! I will admit to having Chloe freeze for this one shot! I was just so fond of her creation. Like I said: I'm a Dad. We have our moments.
The best part of these creative worlds the kids have been creating (we don't have a TV at the new house yet) is the little voices they make for their characters. That's when you know the kids are really into it, when each little guy has a distinct voice!
“Diary of a Dad” is a candid daily snapshot of one family through the eyes of Dad. The collection aims to capture the challenges of raising 3 children under six years old, and the rewards of their unconditional love. For 150 days, 1 image is posted throughout Dad’s social media platforms and each image is a 1/1 NFT that is for purchase. 50% of the proceeds from “Diary of a Dad” will be donated to a Fatherhood focused charity that the group of collectors chooses.
Our journey begins on August 26th 2021 and ends on Jan 22nd 2022, for a collection of 150 moments in time.
