The World Tree, or Tree of Life, is an ancient universal symbol that was a core of people's beliefs. The pine tree we see on this pysanka is the oldest image of the World Tree from archeological times. The city with a "sweet" name (Izyum sounds like "raisins") is located in the Kharkiv region. The evidence of various historical epochs is preserved here: from the geological nature monument of Kremenets mountain to pagan idols, cathedrals and monasteries of different eras and religions. The fighting for Izyum began after Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022. The city is practically destroyed. On April 1, the occupiers established temporary control over the city, taking numerical advantage.
We believe
In Ukraine, we believe in our victory. This Easter we believe that life will again conquer death. Our country will be free and we will restore every square meter that Russia has destroyed.
Fundraising
The enemy destroys our churches, museums, theaters, unique art collections and cultural objects. But it is impossible to destroy our belief, our culture, our identity. We have created pieces of NFT-art — painted Easter eggs with authentic ornaments. Every coin from these NFTs will go to the Fund to support and recover gems of Ukrainian culture.
The NFTs
The traditional painted Easter eggs in Ukraine are called "pysanka". Each region has its own sacral ornament and symbols drawn on pysankas. Communication agency Postmen has created more than 20 pysankas that represent different cities and regions of Ukraine. The rarity of NFT (quantity available for sale) depends on the level of destruction of the city.
