"My main memory of The Rock of Cashel is arriving down from Dublin to County Tipperary perhaps Late in the evening and seeing the majestic Castle Rock rising high in the landscape in the distance while seated in the back of my parents car. As we went by I would ask my Dad yet again about the legend associated with and the nearby feature in the mountains known as "The Devil's Bit"...."
The Crystal Path is a unique collection of digital images by Irish artist Sean O'Dwyer. It depicts ancient Irish sites from Drogheda to Achill along a path that weaves across the Irish countryside following old solar and stellar lines of force. The images, media and words through the artists hand, form a reimagining of the Irish Landscape and are a response to these unique spaces see more about this project at 'thecrystalpath.ie' website.
An practising artist of many years he says of his work ..... "All my life I’ve been interested in the spiritual world. I have been interested primarily in any imagery which attempts to depict that world. Those images use a mythopoetic and symbolic language to describe things that emanate from that space. That is a language I have sought to learn, in a country I have attempted to traverse."
