Using a range of mixed media, this artwork signifies a shift in the artist's usual practice of digital art. The piece is made up of both digital and traditional images collaged to form a cohesive whole. However, the entirety of the artwork is deliberately left 'unfinished', where the audience is able to see the differences in textures and colors, almost as if they were watching a stage play with handmade props. The narrative itself is also left vague and ambiguous, allowing the audience to imagine a story based on their own interpretation of the artwork.
Sole Superior celebrates 9 years of artist collaborations and friendships with their first ever online gallery and digital showcase. With 2023 marking Sole Superior’s 10th anniversary, we thought it would be an excellent opportunity to reconnect with our past collaborators and introduce some new fresh talents that we’re super stoked on. Get everyone together, present an online digital showcase of their SUPERIOR work collectively, and BOOM- a joyous celebration of the strange and amazing trip that we’ve been through, both collectively and individually.
Superior Friends also provides the opportunity for digital art collectors to make bids on their favorite works. This generous patronage funds the digital gallery, more beer for the artists and Sole Superior, which ultimately helps keep the creative spark alive and inspire future generations of diverse talents.
