Chacmool (also spelled chac-mool) is the term used to refer to a particular form of pre-Columbian Mesoamerican sculpture depicting a reclining figure with its head facing 90 degrees from the front, supporting itself on its elbows and supporting a bowl or a disk upon its stomach. Their symbolism placed them on the frontier between the physical and supernatural realms, as intermediaries with the gods.

The Image here recreates a group of Chacmool characters chilling, grabbing a beer and posing to the "camera" like influencers. With the great pyramid of Chichen Itzá in the background. The inside joke here is that everytime I saw one of these sculptures it reminded me of how modern instagram influencers pose to the camera. Like if these guys were the original influencers.
