Born in 1912 in Venice Italy, is among the most renowned painters of the mid 20th century in Italy. Nando worked in Assisi, St Francis of Assisi, near Perugia, in the region of Umbria and Milan, Italy. But, Nando will develop most of his art work in Paris, France.

In 1946 after working for Italian newspapers “Avanti” and “Il Corriere Della Sera” as a satirical political cartoonist and writing extensively for the newspapers, Nando continued to write but on the canvas of his paintings which contributes to a characteristic and a unique trade mark. Indeed, the essays are in a form of the painter’s journal written in French, Nando’s second language. He commented on his paintings as they related to his thoughts, documenting his life and his problems researching the Pure Esthetic, while the achievement of the particular painting Nando was working on.
