ぼくの家には、とても可愛らしいメイドがいる。
しかし、彼女は少し天然で行動の意味がわからない時がある。
今朝、起きたら彼女がぼくの前でねこのポーズをとった。
「ご主人様、おはようございますにゃぁ…」
かわいい。かわいいのだ。また少し恥ずかし気にやっている所がいい。
だけど、どう返せばいいのか分からない。
「な、なにをやってるの…？」
そんなぼくの問いかけに、首を傾げつつ、彼女は上目遣いでぼくを見た。
「男性は、こうやると喜ぶのだと教えて頂いたもので…。だめでしたかにゃぁ…？」
ぼくは絶句する。合っている。合ってはいるのだが…。
誰が彼女にそんなことを教えたのか。
未だにねこのポーズを取っている彼女を尻目に、ぼくは、はぁっと溜息を吐く。
だけど、ぼくはそんな可愛げのある彼女の仕草から、目が離せなくなっていたーー。

I let out a sigh as she still holds the cat pose.
But I can't take my eyes off her cute gestures---.
