This image was taken from a remote beach on the east shore that is mostly known by locals. The water was so turquoise and so still that you could see every single rock beneath the surface. There was a girl standing on a rock, all alone in the middle of this heavenly scene, and it was both beautiful and compelling.
From the moment I first laid eyes on Lake Tahoe, I felt a powerful connection to it. So much so that I would enthusiastically drive the 7 hours from LA several times a year just to photograph it! Tahoe had become my favorite source of inspiration, and I started to wonder what it would be like to live there.
So one day, after living in LA for six years, I decided it was time to take a chance on a new adventure. Not knowing what to expect and not knowing a soul, I had only planned to stay for four months. I never would've imagined that two and a half years later, I'd still be living here, feeling as inspired as ever. 💙
Each piece in this collection represents a moment in Lake Tahoe that I found to be especially beautiful and out of the ordinary. The collection is also an ode to following your heart down an exciting path unknown.
