Roberto Burle-Marx is one of my idols (along with Brazilian Athos Bulcão and Escher) and since I was born in Rio I was, indeed influenced by the curves in his works. Not only on the famous sidewalks in Rio, but also his magnificent gardens and tapestry. This piece is inspired on his work. The image posted here is a 3D simulation of the art in a frame (the floor and wall are also 3D render).

Tribal is inspired by ethnic and geometric motifs of indigenous tribes inhabiting Brazilian territory before Portuguese colonization. Going forward in history, the colonial line takes us to Colonial Brazil, where the Portuguese influence set the rules for society.
