The Islamic calendar is based on the lunarcalendar. The annual moon-sighting, which marks the beginning of Ramadan is always a confusing spectacle. Some base it on scientific calculations while others physically seek out the crescent moon. Every year, these questions arise — when is the first fast? Is it tomorrow? Is it today? Was it yesterday? Did I miss a fast?
