This was the photo that was supposed to happen when I took ‘Berlin III’. I just couldn’t let go and had to try again.
This time, I arrived early. Too early, actually. The diagonal line was actually hitting the top window, so I had to wait. And during this waiting, I observed.
I watched other photographers pass by, point their cameras somewhere, capture what they saw, and move on. The arches, the windows, the details of the structure. What are they seeing? What are they drawn to? I saw others using their tripods, carefully creating their composition and adjusting their camera settings. A timelapse, perhaps? It’s a massive building, so many different angles to explore.
That’s one of the beauties of photography, in my opinion. Endless possibilities of sharing one’s unique vision with the world.
And I promise you one thing: I will strive to find mine every single time I pick up my camera.
Cheers

Photographing on the streets is about creating on the go, embracing the unexpected. Moving forward, every new angle is a brand new story. It’s about adapting to change all the time, being it in the light, in the dark or in the middle of both. Just like life itself.
Chasing Shadows is a collection of 18 photographs minted on the blockchain between March and October, 2021.
