This is painting number 4 within an art collection of mine titled 'The Brownies'
Date of creation - 2017.
It is supposed to give you a feel of a certain subset of beings or creatures called 'The Brownies'.
About The Artist: A brainy and philosophical mind who yet sees the world in colors, The Befibrillator is a modern day abstract expressionist with a painting style similar to that of Jackson Pollock. Writer, poet, and free thinker, Dr. Boye creates his works by employing innate creativity to express an intellectual core in an action painting pattern. Using a stylus paintbrush, he digs into his consciousness and colorfully sprays the ever active contents of his gray matter on his canvas with flair and intuition. Majority of his works have connotations and some are inspired by music or emotions. The five elements which he utilizes in his artworks are rhythm, connotation, originality, elegance, and freedom of expression. All works are hand-drawn.
The Brownies collection was inspired by the artwork 'Overpopulation' as it led to a temporary love triangle between me, black, and a shade of brown. I had been having creative block for a while, so I decided to open a new canvas, try a different color and just let loose. I loved the final result and I named it as I saw it. Overpopulation got me so ecstatic that I decided I wanted to make a series of beings while restricting myself to shades of only those colors. You can think of the collection as a glimpse into the life of the Brownies. The next was Eccentricity. I tried to capture un-conventionalism and humor. Third was Communication. I used facial expressions to convey non verbal cues between the brownies. Next is my favorite, Vibrance. The fifth and final one was Silhouettes. At the end, I felt like I had stretched my creativity to its climax as far as the Brownies were concerned. You never know however, there just might be more to come from life with the Brownies.
