My first 'official' infinite loop, released in 2017 when I decided to quit painting on (physical) canvas to focus solely on web first mediums. This animation kicked off a series of 100 subsequent looping GIFs, inspired by & made for the internet.
It was first exhibited in a framed tablet at Court Tree Collective in Brooklyn, New York. Since then it has been 'exhibited' on Giphy, racking up 3.6M views.
The motif was inspired by Andy Warhol's pop art. If he were alive today, I bet he would be creating GIFs & face filters instead of silkscreen prints.
