彫刻家の父と彫金家の母の間に生まれ、幼いころから現代アートや様々な表現に囲まれて育つ。独学で服作りを開始し、ベルギーアントワープ王立芸術アカデミーファッション科入学。卒業コレクションがヨーロッパで数々の賞を受賞。2016年パリ・オートクチュール組合より招待デザイナーに選ばれパリでコレクションを発表。テクノロジーとクラフトマンシップを組み合わせた新しいものづくりを提案する。

Born between a sculptor father and a jeweler mother, Nakazato was raised in an environment surrounded by modern art and various forms of expression from early childhood. He began making clothes by self-education before entering the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp's Fashion Department. Nakazato’s graduation collection earned multiple awards in Europe. In 2016, Yuima Nakazato presented his first Paris Couture collection as an official guest designer selected by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. He continually combines the newest in technology and craftsmanship in his creation processes.
