While I was born and raised on a small farm in Germany, I had the fortune to live and work abroad in my first job (for more of my biography, please read below).

Inspired by the NFT community itself where I found a lot of love, uplifting support, and a diverse community of all kinds of artists, all being pioneers on the blockchain, I felt reminded of my life in the big cities: whether it was London, Vienna, Dubai, or Delhi, it was always 'noisy'. Noisy in the sense of audible sound but also loud and pulsating for the eyes, for the heart, and for the soul.

Like in almost all over the world, there is so much to discover, so many colourful places to explore, so many wonderful diverse people to meet from all walks of life. If you just keep your eyes open, you can actually see so much. Which sounds profane at first can be an emotional journey you are taking, and with the impressions you take from there, all concepts of war and hate simply make no sense anymore.

Don't we all strive for a peaceful time here on earth? Together! Loving another! Supporting another!

The NFT community sometime seems to be such a colourful city, and with that in mind and especially in my heart, I created these colourful pieces (the darker ones represent the night times when you should be sleeping but cannot really switch off; you can all surely relate), and I hope you will all enjoy them and feel the spirit of this NFT community.

About "Monika's Art":

My name indeed is Monika, and while I was born and raised on a farm in Germany, I had the chance to live and work abroad for 10 years in my first job. This led me to Austria, the UK, Dubai in the UAE, New Zealand, and -briefly- India. I am now back in Germany with my husband and our six tortoises.

We both share a deep interest and appreciation for other cultures and languages, and we try to build bridges whereever we can.

A lot of inspiration comes from other regions of the world with an accent on Asia and Scandinavia.

While I always created art throughout my life, I seldom dared to show it really, so the blockchain is indeed the first time I am 'outing' myself here - which is a huge step for me. Driven by life-long struggles with my self-worth, depression and anxiety, creating always has been and still is a way of expressing what is going on inside and cannot be expressed by words yet. This sometimes leads to spontaneous, creative outbursts, often changing the flow from my original intention. In most of the cases, finding the words for the title in the end is the expression of what was previously unspoken.

I'm glad you are a part of this journey now. For this, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude.
