The € 1 million Banksy painting (nicknamed "Banksy" by an anonymous graffiti artist and British painter) was torn to pieces after the auction.
As soon as the hammer sounded at the Sotheby's auction and a Banksy painting worth "€ 1,180,000" was sold, the piece unexpectedly lowered itself through a shredder that had been built into the bottom of the frame unbeknownst to anyone involved in the sale. The bottom half of the painting was cut into strips in what Sotheby's has referred to as a moment of "instant art world history."
The question now is whether these pieces of paper are also part of a work of art that has added more value to it.
In this artwork, I've shown that this girl thanks Banksy for making her skirt more beautiful by cut into strips.
Lithography is a method of printing originally based on the immiscibility of oil and water. The printing is from a stone or a metal plate with a smooth surface. It was invented in 1796 by the German author and actor Alois Senefelder, Iranian lithography was imported to Iran in 1845 by Abbas Mirza. Nowadays this art has become a forgotten style.
Iranian lithography is a folk art that I have combined pop art with.
