"Juanito, the friendly Tarsier from Bohol", Philippines

This is the world's smallest primate - the Philippine Tarsier. He is a shy little fellow, who does not like to be caged, touched, disturbed or photographed.

This wonderful image was taken 1993 by the world renowned photographer, Per-Andre Hoffmann. It was displayed in various exhibitions and has been published worldwide. Signed by Per-Andre Hoffmann. See his information below. Image size: jpg 4100 x 2600. Including a signed "Certificate of Authenticity".

These are Professional images that have been published in the world's most famous magazines and newspapers, exhibited in renowned museums, won international awards, used on official US-postage-stamps, billboards, advertising and found in the collections of famous celebrities. All images are taken by Per-Andre (raised in Brazil and Norway, schooled in the USA and England, graduated at the "State Academy of Fine Arts" in Europe. He is a veteran professional and long-time Ambassador of a world famous camera brand). These images were taken in all corners of the world, in over one hundred countries, on seven continents. In some of the most remote (and hostile) regions he has photographed cultures, indigenous peoples, sceneries, flora and fauna in their traditional state, unchanged in centuries, untouched by modern life, now lost in time, never to return and forgotten, if not brought back to life in these vintage art works.

Yet his most famous image may be the iconic portrait of Cuba's former President Fidel Castro. This is considered the best portrait ever taken of Fidel Castro (read this fascinating story in Google: My Portrait Session with Fidel Castro).

Looking at Per-Andre's images it is clear why the International Photo Press named him the "Magician of Light" and wrote: “His work is breathtaking. Per-Andre has a rarely seen, (even among photographers) true artistic eye, with an apparent supernatural talent for capturing light, color, and composition in one harmonious moment. But it is also evident he has the heart and soul to appreciate the wonder and beauty of creation. His photos convey great depth of Nordic melancholy maybe, mood and emotion. While some exude life and movement, others whisper solitude and tranquility. They so engage the viewer, that one is not only captivated by the scene but has a sense of experiencing it”.
