Inside this USPS Small Flat Rate shipping box is a solid block of Tungsten. With the purchase of this NFT, we will transfer ownership of the physical 8 ⅝” x 5 ⅜” x 1 ⅝” tungsten block.
A USPS Small Flat Rate shipping box filled with a solid block of tungsten is an object most adults can barely lift, and kids strain to nudge across a smooth surface. The entire package weighs 48.5lbs. It's right at the brink of human strength. Any bigger, most people wouldn’t be able to move it.
This tungsten block was gifted to us years ago by a beloved friend who had it fabricated as part of an exhibit at Makerfaire NYC. Their idea was to allow people to experience the density of raw elements, in a way you don't encounter in everyday life.
For many years, it has lived in our home, mostly as a book end or a doorstop. Every once in a while it gets handled to surprise and delight our friends. But most of the time it just rests wherever the last person put it. It is one of our most treasured possessions.

FAQ
How will you get it to me?
We are happy to arrange for you to come receive it in person, or we can ship it to you.
Can you ship it USPS Flat Rate?
As long as people at the post office are cool with it, we’re ok with it if you are. We can also pack it and ship it via a carrier of your choice.
What happens to the NFT once I have the physical thing?
That’s totally up to the winning bidder. If they want to burn it they can. If they want to hang onto the NFT and resell it one day (with or without sending the physical tungsten) they can. We personally think it could be cool if people actually pass the physical thing in accordance with NFT ownership. But there is obviously nothing to enforce that behavior.
