Which means that the ring expands and grows in diameter while ascending towards the surface.

This is a collection of underwater air bubble rings blown by my mouth and photographed by me too. It starts out small and thick, but due to Law of Boyle and Mariotte it will have a larger diameter and a thinner air ring the further it ascends. The art to master is that the ring does not burst until it reaches the surface.
