The one thing that I can’t really get past is that Bored Ape Yacht Club was sold out on the exact same day of Hitler’s death. The New Yorker wrote: “The avatars came from a Web site called Bored Ape Yacht Club, which had officially launched on April 30th, 2021” Adolf Hitler died on April 30, 1945.
Without being able to dig through the 4 founders of BAYC online history, I don’t think I can conclude anything. What clouds this controversy is the fact that Ryder Ripps owns a great deal of Phunks, and the motivation to drive Bored Apes out of the NFT top spot is probably there. But I don’t know for sure anything at this point.
