As I was trying to grasp why anyone would spend ridiculous sums on this “art”, I came across this tweet by A.L. Crego:

The painting is by Leonardo Da Vinci, Lady with an Ermine, year 1489.
One can be brilliant in many areas and have horrible taste in art.
