For a year I photographed balconies and terraces in Havana. My intention was to build a building with history. In its architecture we find all the cultures that shaped this city. Its inhabitants coexist door to door like a big family, between what is lost, what remains and what is reborn. Time passes so slowly in the Hotel Habana that past, present and future run over each other to live in the same space, with a certain harmony. Composed of more than 50 photographs, it is of immense resolution. Allowing to enter into each house. A small city full of details.

This work will be sent printed on art fabric + infinity frame. (43.3 x 43.3 inch - 110 x 110 cm) Edition 3/10.

Gabriel Guerra Bianchini is among the first Cuban artists living on the island to bring his art to the NfT world. Thanks to the incredible people who helped break the embargo barrier suffered by all artists living in Cuba. Hotel Habana is a work that I have a special affection for. It took me more than a year to finish this titanic piece. Self-taught Cuban photographer, has worked for prestigious international festivals, film and music. His works have been displayed in many exhibitions – including the first outdoor exhibition at Havana Cathedral Square - and selected for prestigious musician’s records. His project ‘The Isolated Island’ is currently on view at Museo delle Culture in Lugano, Switzerland, and part of the museum’s permanent collection. - Being faithful I have kept the series limited to 10 in this format. The first two editions have already been sold and are in their new home.
