My Story:

Do you know what it is like? To sit in a waiting room in excruciating pain waiting for a medical team to do the paperwork and talk to the lawyers about whether or not they can treat you? While you know you’re bleeding and dying from the inside out? My ectopic pregnancy ruptured, and I sat for hours until finally one doctor said screw it, he didn’t care if he lost his license. I had over 700cc of blood in my abdomen, and I almost died because I couldn’t get the lifesaving medical care I needed. Because what should be an intensely personal, intensely important medical treatment has become a point of debate.
