Tomas is a beom from South Korea. One of the stories says that beoms were real animal which was hunted to the brink of extinction during the Japanese occupation. A white spirit descended and blessed to beoms with the ability to think to defend themselves against hunters.
Tomas is beom captured by hunters and was almost slaughtered to death. Because of the torture he received, he became blind. He also developed disdain towards humans.
