Jasper is where I’d go if I wanted to be in the mountains, but didn’t want to deal with the crowds in Banff. I usually go during the off season in the dead of Winter around Valentine’s Day. I often have good luck spotting wildlife around Jasper Park Lodge and Lac Beauvert is simply stunning. JPL probably has the biggest and best ginger bread house every Christmas! Oka Sushi is also quite an experience. One of the few places I know of that offers omakase.
