Boston-raised Miami-based artist REMOTE created the Sprayskull series to repurpose the waste produced by painting murals as an aerosol artist. The skulls are actual life-size crystal clear resin sculptures embedded with used aerosol caps sourced by REMOTE from the local graffiti community.
The images from the Sprayskull collection are captured and edited by documentary photographer George R. Mercado aka OCD. REMOTE and OCD crossed paths in 2014 and became fast friends due to their mutual love of graffiti and hip hop culture. OCD began documenting REMOTE'S studio and graffiti works soon after, and they've been collaborating through the lens ever since
