This video was created in Chascomus, Argentina outside of La Capilla de los Negros. La Capilla de los Negros is a shrine dedicated to Argentina’s African ancestors. I made this piece in honor of the important contributions that Afro-Argentines have made to Argentina’s society.
For example, the Tango derived from Candombe which has roots in the Congo.

Elements of “Black Like Blue at La Capilla de los Negros” have been featured in exhibits at the California African American Museum and Hesse Flatow Gallery in Chelsea. The original video was made in 2018.

The being in this piece is a water deity who travels throughout the African Diaspora and inhabits spaces freely.

HD Video, 2021 1920 x 1080 Adama Delphine Fawundu From my inaugural solo NFT exhibit titled, “The Spirit House” Part of the XX1/OFF Block Party
