Since I was quite young I've always been very inspired by van Gogh. His art and story was the theme of my final essay in high-school, and I remember being completely engrossed in the vibrant force of his images. I haven't thought much about it for many years, but then I recently watched the van Gogh movie "At Eternity's Gate" by Julian Schnabel (one of my favourite screenwriters), and I think now I better understand why he had always struck a chord with me. This quote “I dream my painting and I paint my dream.” - is exactly how so many of my photos come to life as well! - Just substituting painting with photography, naturally - and the camera (and editing process) then acting as my dream-catcher.
