As a young boy, I experienced the profound loss of my beloved grandmother, an event that instigated my journey from Mexico to the States. Years later, I stood by my wife's side as we mourned the passing of her father shortly after our wedding. These moments of loss and upheaval have left indelible marks on my life and have shaped the way I view the world.
