The illustration is an exploration of the character David. As an artist, I've been fascinated by who David is. His story did not start and end when he defeated Goliath. He was the youngest and seems to be the weakest in the eyes of his Father. There was a time when he wrote on a poem that he was abandoned by his family. After defeating this greatest foe, he did not became a king instatly. A serries of adventures occur, trajedies and scandals. Then after he became a king, when he stablished his Kingdom. His family became a typical train wreck yes it's so complicated because of his children.

Still, the legacy he left stands. Even if he was known as Israel's greatest king. His family is considered a failure, no one at this day in age that would desire a family like his. With all that happened in his lifetime, he still manage to get through it all. We have so many things to learn from this man. His humility in accepting the things he has done, the way he repented on his short commings. A man like no other in his time, he showed grace in adversity and mercy at times of need.
