Arman was born in 1924, and hails from Aleppo, Syria. He immigrated to the US many decades ago. Starting from zero in his new country, he cut his teeth as an aluminum arbitrageur, running cans across the Ohio border into Michigan for redemption. Eventually, he settled into a gig recycling legacy computer systems for their precious metal content.

As tighter manufacturing tolerances in the computer industry reduced the yield in recycling, he became an early adopter of cryptocurrency. At the beginning, he mined Namecoin. When the crypto world grew, he invested his profits into an array of altcoin projects. With a knack for finding deals, he bought almost every dip, and amassed an impressive portfolio of assets. He even managed to turn a profit on BitConnect.
