“My Portrait of an Artist” is part of a series in which I recreate art that changed the world in my own style. It is a celebration of color and light in sunny California.
This portrait is very personal for me. The two women are the same person: one looking at herself from the outside.
My technique here is a combination of traditional painting with 3D modeling.
The women in this series are big and strong. They are not defined by standards of beauty or ugliness.
