With all the ballers aping in (including the professional ones), I want to celebrate this moment with this NiftyPin! Launch price is 0.05. This pin is going to be epic because it is (1) the first digital NFT x physical IRL NiftyPin to be produced, (2) the first Bored Ape Yacht Club derivative I’ve made and (3) the first NiftyPin minted as an ERC-721 token with the rare 24-karat gold plated NFT/physical pin counterpart! From launch until July 1, 2021, only wallets holding a BAYC token can ape in—read on for more!

This ERC-721 NiftyPin is one out of ten NFT/physical pins to be made. BAYC token holders are the only ones who are able to initially purchase these NiftyPins until July 1, 2021. There is a limit of one pin per wallet of this 721 version. You may trade/sell the pin on the secondary market, but on July 1, 2021 all the owners of this 721 token will receive the physical enamel pin in 24-karat gold plating. After the pins are mailed out, this will solely be a virtual NiftyPin. However, if you are purchasing it on the secondary market, you can certainly reach out to talk with the seller to see if they will include the physical pin.

In the even that this pin does not sell out by July 1, 2021, the sale will be open to the general public and any pin sold then will have the ability to claim the physical pin. United States owners can receive the pin with free shipping; anyone outside the United States will be responsible for paying the shipping fees of the carrier of your choice.

I wish I was a developer and could program something slick to have people authenticate in with their Ethereum wallet, but unfortunately, I make pins, not code. So, to get around this we will have to get creative. You can DM me in the BAYC Discord or message me on Twitter—I have no idea if people will love this project or if it will be crickets, but I will try and be fair with FIFO requests. The most optimal thing is if your OpenSea or Rarible account is tied to your Twitter account—that makes it easy and proves you own the ape. If you don’t have an easy verification, message me and I will tell you to send a unique, trace amount of ETH from the wallet that holds the ape. Think of it like those two small transactions we often have to do to verify a bank account. When that proves out, you will be able to purchase the pin on OpenSea as I will make only your address able to snag it!

Remember: you got to HODL this NFT through July 1st (I would hold it all day because I don’t know when I’m taking a snapshot!) in order to claim the physical enamel pin! You can also flip it if you want, but if you do not have this token in your wallet on July 1st you cannot get the pin. I will not be producing this physical pin outside of this NFT drop!

NOTE 1: this will be a hard enamel pin with a red rubber backer that is 25mm wide by 30.6mm tall.

NOTE 2: there are also one hundred ERC-1155 NiftyPins that are nickel plated. I chose nickel instead of silver because the latter tarnishes easier—I didn’t go cheap on the plating option for you, I just want the pin to always look sharp. Find them on the blockchain by looking at the different collections I’ve minted.

Thank you so much for any support of this project!!!

This pin is an official derivative of Papa Ernesto, member number 2207 of the famed Bored Ape Yacht Club #2207. Papa Ernesto is bored of it all. He has decided to look for adventure across the globe, whether it is driving ambulances in far off wars, bullfighting in Ronda, having elevated conversations in Parisian cafes, fishing off the coast of Cuba or crafting the perfect margarita from limes in the Florida Keys. But alas, these things probably will bore him as well, so he just sits at the typewriter and bleeds as he attempts to craft the Great Simian Novel.
